HELP!!!

Braden's birthday is this Wednesday and I have NO IDEA what to get him! You'd think with Braden being my second boy I'd have some clue but I don't. We have plenty of legos and playmobil guys. I'm going to start Kinex next Christmas but I'm not ready to delve into that one right now. He's already getting Cameron's hand-me-down bike (while Cam gets a brand new bigger one...the life of a first child!), and he got a scooter for Christmas last year. So please, if you have any ideas of gifts to give my darling almost 5-year-old boy, please share! I'm at a loss.

I'm no help, sorry! I had the hardest time w/Sam's 5th birthday too. Weird. There's just not one thing he's passionate about right now.

try KID kinex. my boys LOVE it. and those galactic heroes (the chunky star wars figures) are a big hit. does he have a good marble maze/run?
you could also do a fun "summer" b-day and get him squirt guns, sunglasses a new slip 'n slide a bubble gun, jump ropes (just for tying each other up of course) sidewalk chalk...
hope this helps. poor henry, after 2 older brothers i run out of ideas!
good luck.

Geo Trax, Leapster, or imaginex dinosaurs. I know I have no boys but my sister was rattling off a list of toys her boy had and these are a few I remembered. I'll let you know if I remember anything else.

A butterfly net, binoculars, and/or a book on insects, wildflowers, and birds (for kids). And a magnifying glass. Every kid needs to learn how to fry bugs some time. But he probably isn't old enough for this stuff yet. My kids are going to be young naturalists.

Or... an ant farm?

So I obsessively watch this show on TLC- John and Kate plus Eight. And one of the things they did was take each of their kids out for a day by themselves. So maybe you can get a sitter for Cameron and Jane and Take Braden out to lunch and to a tumble gym, museum, zoo...something that he likes and just you and Tom spend some special birthday fun with Braden on his own. Maybe.

Ditto to what Cat said. I was thinking the exact same thing. Anything Star Wars is a hit right now with our boys and there are tons of action figures out there and anything you can build with like the Kid K'nex. We got Ben a Star Wars costume, I think Obi Wan Kenobi, for his 5th and he still loves wearing it.

Lincoln has already started his birthday wish list

Bass Pro Shops Movie (doesn't exist but he doesn't know that)

Pass the Pigs (game)

Good binoculars

Rockets (walmart $5-$10 and Tom will appreciate these as much as Zach does)

Good headlamp and flashlight

Watch

Butterfly conservatory (Lincoln actually bought this himself 3 weeks ago and has loved it... walmart $14, send away for the caterpillars and then watch them grow and turn into butterflies!)

R/C Helicopter

To name a few
